When you use Dialogue to analyze a webpage or specific text, the text you select ("User Content") is temporarily processed to provide the analysis service. We do not permanently store, archive, or view this content on our servers.

We use the Chrome Storage API to save data locally on your specific device. This includes:

• Your chat history.
• User preferences and settings.

This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly choose to export it. You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser extension data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide the core functionality of the extension:

1. Text Analysis: To analyze and summarize the text you select on active webpages.
2. Service functionality: To maintain your preferences across browsing sessions.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Data Processing

To provide AI-powered analysis, Dialogue utilizes third-party services.

• Google Gemini API: When you run a scan or chat, the text you select is sent securely to Google Gemini for processing. This data is used solely to generate the response and is subject to Google's API Data Privacy Policy.

We do not control how third-party websites (the pages you analyze) collect data. This policy applies only to information processed by the Dialogue extension.

5. Data Retention

• Server-Side: We operate a stateless service. We do not retain the text you submit for analysis after the request is completed.
• Client-Side: Data saved in your local Chrome storage remains on your device until you delete it.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access: View the data stored locally on your device.
• Rectification: Correct any settings stored locally.
• Erasure: Delete your data by clearing your local extension storage or uninstalling Dialogue.

Since we do not store your personal data on our servers, "access" and "deletion" requests can largely be managed directly by you on your own device.
